How to able the GOOGLE TALK when it is blocked?

Hi i work in a small company where my administrator has blocked us from using google talk (gtalk), but now for few days he is on leave and i am looking after small things here , just i wanted to know how remove the block and to able gtalk , so that we can use it until he comes .....and again block it ...i know his system password and also the server password also ...so what i have to do ?......thank you

Any application program can be be blocked through firewalls. May be your administrator have done the same for google talk in your network. And unblocking procedure depends on what firewall software (norton/avg/pctools/symantec or whatever!) is being used. Anyway just get into the server and open the firewall program and find the option that is similar APPLICATION BLOCKING in the window. It will display a list of programs that has been blocked. Look for googletalk.exe in the list and right click on it and select "unblock" (or whatever option that is in this context like 'enable' or 'allow' ) and confirm it by clicking OK if it prompts like "Are you sure?" and close the program and log out of the server. And you can repeat the same procedure to block it again by choosing block option instead of unblock on clicking googletalk.exe in the list.





Also note that your administrator might have password protected the firewall. if so then there is no other way to unblock gtalk!

Reply:There is lot of proxy servers is available in internet.if you have the local admin access then you can download the software like hotshield or something like that.Even in some proxy websites we can access yahoo,gmail,msn.
