I keep getting a Google talk on my desk top. Any body use it. How doesit work???

It's an instant messenger which is available free and is a very handy tool which i use as backup when my MSN goes down and uses much less recources too.

I keep getting a Google talk on my desk top. Any body use it. How doesit work???
i just plug it into my microphone jack in my laptop but uses earphones from my ipod nano as a microphone to talk. it is sometimes slow. i don't use it much.
Reply:Google talk is a Voice over IP and instant messaging program. They seem to be pretty standard programs that operate like most other IM %26amp; Voip programs.
Reply:google talk is the Google equvilent of MSN. you can use it if you have a Gmail account. just sign in with the same email and password that you use for Gmail and you can chat with mates.

But in G-Talk you only can chat with Gmail-Gtalk users.


You can't add Yahoo users or MSN users to G-talk.


You can do voice communication but there is no Video conferencing (Web cam) functions.
