How to get Gmail Notifications for incoming emails from certain people on my google talk?

There is a person in my contact list, say xyz@gmail.com. I want to get email notifications for incoming emails from xyz@gmail.com only.


Is it really possible?

I pump my gmail account from Microsoft Outlook where my rules can be used to filter values.
Reply:Yes indeed. When you use Gtalk, the default setting is that you get notifications (popups near taskbar) whenever theres a new mail. Unless you have disabled this option from thE Gtalk settings, it should work.
Reply:I am sorry there is no way to do this. Whatever shows up in your inbox will produce a notification in Gmail notifier or GTalk.

These are the two things that happen to you when you're blocked, regardless of which IM you're using:





鈥? The person that blocked you will ALWAYS be offline, even when they aren't.





鈥? Any messages you send to them will not go through. They will never see them.





So what you can do is create another IM account, %26amp; try to look them up. If they're online when you check on the new account, then you'll know they blocked you.

Reply:ok i am addicted to google talk so to know if they blocked u is if theyre picture doesnt show up then they blocked u if they never had a picture then look at ur all contacts and if theyre waaaay in the bak they blocked u

iv got google mail but dont use it, iv never used googletalk, i do know they have google checkout which is he same as paypal, but cheaper , so id say they are not the biggest instant messaging network yet......... msn is tho i would imagine or even yahoo messenger

Nope. Unless you use Boot Camp.





You can also use Adium, that supports Google Talk.
