im on google talk..and i added a crap load of contacts...and some of these contacts are on hotmail...but i know hotmail can talk to google....but im talking to them on hotmail and they say they havent got a request..and there all on my contact list as offline (on google talk)

I think you are mistaken, I really don't think that Google talk is compatible with Hotmail. In addition to the fact that common sense because they are competing in the market, Google uses a different system than Microsoft. Google talk doesn't work that well right now anyways, could be because it is new and has bugs, or a bunch of people are using it, or whatever the reason. I would suggest using skype and get a meebo account. skype is an internet voice network, it is free, and easy to use. Meebo is a way to keep track of all your IM accounts (gmail, yahoo, hotmail, aim, etc.) It works great, and is free. It is browser-based, so you don't have to worry about installing crap.
