How to block yahoo messenger and Google Talk on computer?

Without removing(uninstalling) these softwares?
How to block yahoo messenger and Google Talk on computer?
Install any firewall client.. Windows Xp service pack 2 and vista has this inbuilt..


Then configure your firewall to block accepting connections by this software...
Reply:through firewall of ur window. just block them

but you cannot connect it..


double click yahoo messenger


(you must be signed out )


it will open yahoo messenger window....


now on top you can see





messenger tab





click that


then you can see





connection prefrence





in the drop down menu click that..


now in that you would see diffrernt selcetions ( with Radio buttons to select ) out of that select





use proxies





then


click


Enable http proxy


put some thing like this 201.77.91.00





or any thing in that range...





click


OK





OK





well...


now try login...





you cannot...............





its a very simple trick...............





well if you wanna make as older it was..





do the same as above and select


no proxies tab





click ok...





thats it........

its very simple and hardly takes 2 min and you need not need any software or any knowledge...

Reply:firewalls can block them. it blocked mine (YM) but i allowed it. try it . might work 4 u.
